The events' unique format provides a space for those in the mobile app world to learn, connect, and engage with the latest in technology.

What do mobile apps have to do with spatial computing, VR/Ar, & Smart Glasses?

With smart glasses and spatial computing taking center stage, foundational mobile development skills have never been more critical to shaping the future of software.

Devices like Ray-Ban Meta glasses utilize native iOS and Android SDKs, while platforms like Apple Vision Pro rely on Swift, and Meta Quest supports Kotlin. Crucially, Android XR is designed to scale across the ecosystem, directly extending mobile applications into XR headsets like Samsung’s Galaxy XR as well as everyday intelligent eyewear. Because these smart glasses function as a phone peripheral relying on the smartphone as their processing "brain," building for this ecosystem isn't a total reset. It requires mobile developers to leverage existing app architectures while completely reimagining Human-Computer Interaction for glanceable, hands-free interfaces.
